Warriors Start Outdoor Season In St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team opened the outdoor portion of its 2016 schedule on Friday and Saturday, competing against a loaded field at the Washington University Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis./Waukesha North) posted a 13th-place finish among 71 runners in the 1500 meters. Jodat finished with a personal-best time of 4:08.86.
  • Sophomore Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) placed 31st in the same event, also with a personal-best time of 4:23.91.
  • Jodat also recorded a personal-best in the 5000 meters, placing 35th overall out of 136 competitors with a time of 15:17.88.
  • Competing against a talented field, the Warriors were not able to score any team points. NCAA Division II Lincoln (Mo.) topped the 30-team scoring field with 117 points, 54 points better than host and runner-up Washington.

  • The Warriors are back in action next Saturday when they compete at the Private College Invitational hosted by Carroll. Events begin at 10:30 a.m. in Waukesha.
