DE PERE, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team competed Thursday at the St. Norbert Twilight at Schneider Stadium. WLC finished fifth with nine points.
Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) recorded the highest finish for the Warriors at the meet, placing first in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:57.34.
Chase Robles (New Berlin, Wis./West) established a new school record in the 3,000 meters with a finish of 8:58.78 for third place.
Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) led Wisconsin Lutheran in the 1,500 meters, crossing the line in 4:29.22 to place second. Sam Wallace (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) finished in fourth (4:37.08), Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis./Waukesha North) fifth (4:37.75), and Josh Eickhoff was seventh (5:02.44).
Wallace joined Robles in the top 10 in the 3,000 meters finishing 10th with a time of 9:45.11. Jodat finished in 9:54.74, and Eickhoff posted a time of 10:35.96.
Kyle McBee (Monroe, Mich./Lutheran South) also participated in the 5,000 meters and had a time of 17:59.82, good for eighth.
Alexander Kirk (Waukesha, Wis./North) competed in the 200 (25.13) and 400 meters (55.08).
In the field events, Andrew Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) had a toss of 11.72 meters in the shot put. Jeremy Fierros (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) participated in the javelin (33.72 meters) and the discus (24.30 meters).
Michigan Tech totaled 56 points to win the five-team event.
WLC will next compete Saturday at the Ted Haydon Invitational in Chicago, Ill. Events are set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
