OSHKOSH, Wis. - Chase Robles (New Berlin, Wis./West) captured third place in the 3,000 meters to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team to a fifth-place finish at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Open Friday at Kolf Sports Center. The Warriors posted a team score of 26 points.
Robles posted a personal-best time of 8:52.35 to take home third in the 3,000 meters. Sam Wallace (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) also competed in the 3,000 meters and placed eighth with a time of 9:39.55.
Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) took fourth in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:25.27 and Danny Hafenstein (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) was right behind him in fifth with a mark of 16:56.64.
In the field events, Jeremy Fierros (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) tied his personal-best in the pole vault with a distance of 3.65 meters to take eighth. Mitchel Schneider used a personal-best jump of 5.83 meters to place 10th in the long jump.
Andrew Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) finished 15th in the weight throw with a distance of 11.64 meters.
Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill./Hoffman Estates) competed in the 60-meter dash and posted a time of 7.56. He also ran in the 200 meters for a time of 24.20.
Kyle McBee (Monroe, Mich./Lutheran South) finished the 800 meters with a time of 2:16.09. Collin Sheahan (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) crossed the line in the 200 meters in 25.53 seconds.
The Warriors' 4x400 meter relay team scored a ninth-place finish with a time of 3:44.51.
UW-Oshkosh won its home meet with a score of 250 points.
Wisconsin Lutheran returns to action next Saturday for the UW-Platteville Invitational. Field events start at 11 a.m. and running events follow at 11:30 a.m.
