LISLE, Ill. - Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) went the distance to claim victories in the 5,000- and 10,000-meter runs as the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team finished sixth out of 10 teams at the NACC Outdoor Championships Friday and Saturday at the Sports Complex. The Warriors finished with 42.5 team points.
Hill won the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:37.25 and crossed the finish line in 32:35.76 to grab the 10,000-meter title.
Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) placed third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.15, breaking his own school record set a season ago at the same meet.
Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis./Waukesha North) finished fourth in the 1,500-meter run (4:09.43) and took ninth in the 5,000 meters (16:19.00). Nick Biancuzzo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) placed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.64.
Jeremy Fierros (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) tied for sixth in the pole vault with a height of 3.50 meters. Danny Hafenstein (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) placed eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking in at 10:26.06. Andrew Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) took eighth in the shot put with a throw of 12.71 meters.
Aurora won the title with a score of 286.50.
Wisconsin Lutheran will compete in the Dr. Keeler Invitational next Thursday and Friday at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in Naperville, Ill.
