Paul Johnson is in his third season as head men's tennis coach at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
Johnson directed the Warriors to their best season in program history in 2014 as they advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time. WLC finished 13-10 overall and 7-2 in conference play to earn the fourth seed in the NACC Tournament. Wisconsin Lutheran knocked off the fifth, first, and third-seeded teams in the conference tournament to advance to the national tournament.
Johnson mentored NACC Player of the Year Lee Johnson, who posted an 18-3 No. 1 singles record, as well as three other players who earned all-conference honors.
Prior to being named head coach, Johnson served as an assistant coach for the WLC men's tennis team during the 2011-2012 season. He brings several years of tennis experience to Wisconsin Lutheran as he worked for four years as a youth coach for the Waukesha Tennis Association and as an instructor at Western Racquet Club in Elm Grove.
The 2002 Wisconsin Lutheran High School graduate resides in Greenfield, and is a funeral director at Heritage Funeral Home in Milwaukee.
