Vikings Top Men's Tennis In Non-Conference Tilt

NEW BERLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 non-conference loss to Lawrence Saturday night at the Princeton Club. Freshman Jeremy Ryno (Grayslake, Ill.) won his first career match for the Warriors at No. 4 singles.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Lawrence opened the match winning all three doubles matches. The Warriors' No. 3 team of Matt Plaski (Milwaukee, Wis.) and Grant Fleming (Kaukauna, Wis.) lost a tough 8-5 match.
  • Ryno picked up his first career win for Wisconsin Lutheran at No. 4 singles, claiming a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Matt Chan.
  • The Vikings won the remaining five singles flights in straight sets to pickup the non-conference dual win over WLC.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors travel to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina next week for their spring break trip. WLC will play two non-conference matches against Webster (0-1) and Marietta (0-2).
