Cano Collects Second Team All-NACC Honors

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College's Jason Cano (Delavan, Wis.) has been named Second Team All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, the league announced Wednesday as the postseason awards for the 2019 men's soccer season were released by the conference office. This is the second all-conference award for the Warriors' sophomore forward in as many seasons.

Cano, who started all 16 games he played, led WLC in points (22), goals (10), shots (68), shots on goal (34), and game-winning goals (5). The 2018 NACC Freshman of the Year and First Team All-NACC selection had a pair of multi-goal outings, including a hat trick September 1 against Beloit. Cano led the NACC in game-winning goals, and was fourth in shots and seventh in goals.

Dominican's Isaac Perez was named NACC Offensive Player of the Year, while NACC Defensive Player of the Year honors went to Aurora's David Cahue, and NACC Freshman of the Year honors went to Vicente Castro of the Stars. The Spartans' Ryan Lakin was named NACC Men's Soccer Coach of the Year.

Wisconsin Lutheran concluded its 2019 season with a 7-9-1 overall record and a 3-7-1 mark in the NACC.
