MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's Jason Cano (Delavan, Wis.) has been named to the 2018 United Soccer Coaches All-Wisconsin Second Team, as voted on and announced by the state's NCAA Division III men's soccer coaches. In addition, the forward was named one of two Newcomers of the Year.

Cano, who was selected as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Freshman of the Year, finished second in the conference in goals (15), shots (69), and shots on goal (33) and was third in points (34). Starting 17 games, the First Team All-NACC selection recorded three multi-goal games and scored in all but six of the Warriors' 18 contests. Cano's 34 points and 15 goals rank second in a season in program history.

The All-Wisconsin Team is compiled based on USC All-Region voting by coaches of all Wisconsin NCAA Division III schools.

The Warriors finished their 2018 season with a 7-11-0 overall record and a 6-5-0 mark in the NACC. WLC's six conference wins were its most since the 2012 season. The Warriors also made their sixth NACC Tournament appearance and their third in the last four seasons.
