Landvatter Paces Warriors At Ronnie Eastman Invitational

ONALASKA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's golf team registered a sixth-place finish at the Ronnie Eastman Invitational at La Crosse Country Club Monday and Tuesday. The Warriors were led by Ben Landvatter (Watertown, Wis.), who carded an 18th-place finish with a two-day total of 157 (+13).

  • Landvatter led the Warriors with a two-round total of 157 (81-76), tying for his best finish of the season. It was his fifth round of the year in the 70's. 
  • Johnny Kositzky Jr. (Escanaba, Mich.) finished in 27th place with a 163 (81-82).
  • Damon Gnewikow (Warrens, Wis.) tied for 30th at the event with a 166 (86-80).
  • Trey Gnewikow (Warrens, Wis.) registered a 39th-place finish with a 175 (95-80).
  • Quinn Schultz (Chaseburg, Wis.) rounded out the WLC competitors with a one-day score of 84.

  • Winona State topped the eight-team field with a 603 (304-229). Ben Phipps of Luther and Isaac Westlake of Winona State tied for medalist honors with a two-round score of 148 (+4).

  • The Warriors return to the links Sunday when they begin the first round of the 2018 NACC Championship. Tee time is scheduled for 10:30 a.m at the Whistling Straits Irish Course.
