MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College's Collin Kennedy (Holmen, Wis.) has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of February 4-10, as selected by the league's sports information directors. The award is the second of the season for the Warriors' senior forward and the seventh of his career.
Kennedy became just the second player in school and conference history to surpass 2,000 career points after averaging a team-high 25.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Warriors. The senior forward posted game-highs 26 and 25 points in wins over Concordia Wisconsin and Marian as WLC remained alive for the NACC Tournament.
The Warriors (10-12, 8-9 NACC) return to the court tonight when they host Benedictine (13-10, 10-8 NACC) in search of their third straight win and fifth straight inside the Recreation Complex.
