MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College's Tony Orlando (defense) and Jake Buhler (special teams) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Student-Athletes of the Week for games played Nov. 2, 2019, as selected by the league's sports information directors. These are the first career weekly awards for Orlando and Buhler and the fourth weekly award for the Warriors this season.
Orlando (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) intercepted a pair of passes and broke up another in Wisconsin Lutheran's 17-14 win at Concordia Chicago on Saturday. The senior defensive back tallied five tackles, including three solo stops.
Buhler (Greenville, Wis.) kicked the game-winning 43-yard field goal with 0:32 seconds left to send the Warriors past the Cougars on Saturday. The field goal was the fourth-longest in program history and the longest in the NACC this season. The first-year junior placekicker also made good on both of his extra-point tries.
Wisconsin Lutheran (2-6, 2-3 NACC) returns home for its final two games of the season, starting Saturday when it hosts conference-leading Aurora (7-1, 5-0 NACC) at 1:00 p.m. Live stats and video will be available for the game at WLCSports.com.
