Women Post Fifth-Place Finish In NACC All-Sports Awards

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College finished fifth in the Women's All-Sports Awards and eighth in the Men's All-Sports Awards, it was announced Wednesday as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released the final standings for the 2018-2019 All-Sports Awards.

The Warriors were fifth out of 13 conference schools in the women's standings with an index of 9.22. WLC won both the regular season and conference tournament titles in women's basketball and was runner-up at the outdoor track & field championships. This marks the second straight year that Wisconsin Lutheran has finished fifth in the final awards standings. The Green and White have placed as high as fourth (2012-2013).

In the men's rankings, the Warriors were eighth of 12 league institutions with an index of 6.44. WLC finished third in men's golf, its highest finish of the year, and tallied a fourth-place finish at the outdoor track & field championships.

The NACC All-Sports Awards are based on both the final conference standings of the regular season or championship, and the conference tournament finishes in the sports that offer postseason tournaments.
