MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's and women's soccer teams are partnering with Pay It Forward/Ethiopia Inc., a non-profit food truck that operates in the Green Bay area, to raise money for poverty-stricken children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Fans are encouraged to Pack The Park as the Warriors host a non-conference doubleheader with Maranatha and Mount Mary Saturday night.
All of the proceeds from the food truck sales will go towards poverty-stricken children in Ethiopia. The food truck will be parked outside Warriors Soccer Field prior to the men's soccer match vs. Maranatha at 5:00 p.m. and will serve food until the completion of the women's soccer match vs. Mount Mary, which kicks-off at 7:30 p.m.
The food truck is operated by the family of former Warriors men's soccer player, Teffie Joyce, and current WLC women's soccer player, Helen Joyce. The mobile kitchen trailer melds Ethiopian slow cooking techniques and exotic spice combinations with a familiar American comfort food presentation.
