Mortell Collects 13th Career Win At WLC Triangular

HARTFORD, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's golf team placed second at the WLC Triangular Saturday afternoon at Washington County Golf Course, firing a team score of 439. Ellyn Mortell (Eden Prairie, Minn.) led the way for the Warriors, finishing with the overall top score of 86 (+14).

  • Caroline Kuether (Crete, Ill.) shot a 120 (+48) for Wisconsin Lutheran's third-lowest round.

FOR THE FOES

  • Concordia Wisconsin earned the top spot in the triangular with a team score of 423 (+135).
  • Tayler Wise of Marian finished three strokes behind Mortell with an 89 (+17) for second place.
  • CUW's Molly Mundinger rounded out the top three players, shooting a 92 (+20).

  • The Warriors will compete again Sunday at the Alverno Triangular at Greenfield Golf Course in Milwaukee. First tee time is scheduled for Noon.
