Individually, Jacob Jodat set a new course record with a 4-mile time of 20:16.1 to take first place in the event. He became just the seventh male runner to win the event multiple times in the event's 43-year history. For the women, Cassie Balts finished 17th overall with a personal-best 5k time of 20:36.1. Wisconsin Lutheran returns to race at the Tom Hoffman Invitational Saturday at UW-Whitewater. Start time for the women's 6k race is 10:45 a.m. and the men's 8k race starts at 11:45 a.m.
The Warriors travel to Angola, Indiana to face a familiar non-conference opponent, Trine, in the MIAA-NACC Challenge Saturday at 12:00 p.m. CST. Trine also has three players who have rushed for at least 150 yards through the first two games.
The Warriors travel to Minnesota for the Saint John's Fall Invitational Saturday and Sunday. Wisconsin Lutheran is coming off of an 11th-place finish at the Carthage Fall Classic, where Derick Disch and Tim Pridemore posted two-day totals of 153 (+11) to lead WLC. Disch fired a career-low 71 in the first round. Tee time Saturday is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club and 8:00 a.m. Sunday at GreyStone Golf Club. WLC placed sixth out of 13 teams at the same event a season ago.
The Warriors travel to Fond du Lac for the Marian Fall Invite at Whispering Springs Golf Club Saturday and Sunday after competing in two triangular events last weekend. On Saturday, the Warriors hosted the WLC Triangular and finished second to Concordia Wisconsin by just 16 strokes, with Ellyn Mortell collecting her first win of the season. On Sunday, the Warriors also finished second in the Alverno Triangular, with Mortell again registering the low round. The win marked her 14th career first-place finish.
