Women's Track & Field Competes At Carthage
WLC competes in final last chance meet Saturday

Sophomore Taylor RemstadKENOSHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women’s track & field team competed at the Gill Athletics “Final Qualifier” Invite Friday at Carthage's Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.
In the 400-meter dash, sophomore Amberly Weiglein (Brownsville, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) took home fifth place with a time of 1:03.79. Close behind was sophomore Tori Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon) in seventh with a time of 1:04.66. Sophomore Taylor Remstad (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon) placed 13th, finishing in 1:08.34.
Sophomore Amanda Bregger (Waukesha, Wis./South) earned third place in the pole vault with a height of 2.98 meters. Freshman Kristi Grobe (Hudson, Wis./St. Croix Lutheran) placed fourth, vaulting 2.68 meters.
In the high jump, Grobe took eighth with a jump of 1.48 meters. Freshman Morgan Huibregtse (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) was 13th with a jump of 1.28 meters.
Bregger placed 14th in the long jump after leaping 4.74 meters.
Weiglein had a throw of 9.76 meters in the shot put to place 15th.
Wisconsin Lutheran will next compete Saturday at the Pointer Qualifier hosted by Wis.-Stevens Point. Events are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. at the Multi-Activity Center.
