Markham's Conference Record Earns NAC Weekly Award

WAUKESHA, Wis. - Wisconsin Lutheran College sophomore Amanda Markham (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) has been named the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Student-Athlete of the Week for the events of February 11-17, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Markham finished seventh overall in the 60-meter hurdles Saturday at the Eastbay Invite at Wis.-Stevens Point. In the prelims of the event, she broke both the school and conference record with a time of 9.48 seconds. Markham's prelim time was the fourth-fastest in the 35-competitor field.

Markham and Wisconsin Lutheran will compete Saturday at the Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Championships at the Frank J. Petretti Fieldhouse in Kenosha, Wis. Events are scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
