WAUKESHA, Wis. - Four student-athletes on the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team have received postseason honors from the Northern Athletics Conference, the league office announced Saturday.

Junior Kaitlyn Strehlow (Hales Corners, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) was named NAC Player of the Year, and was also chosen to the All-NAC Singles, Doubles and All-Sportsmanship Teams. Junior Kathryn Hendee (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah) was selected to the All-NAC Singles and Doubles Teams, while sophomore Lindsay Gauger (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) and freshman Stephanie Gengler (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) were each named to the All-NAC Doubles Team.

Strehlow completed a perfect conference season in singles play, finishing 9-0 while also claiming the NAC individual singles championship. No conference opponent took more than three games against Strehlow as she won all of her matches in straight sets.

Joining Strehlow on the All-NAC Singles Team was Hendee, who finished 9-2 in conference play at #2 singles for the Warriors.

The Warriors also had two doubles teams receive All-NAC recognition. The #1 doubles tandem of Strehlow and Gengler were honored after going 9-1 in NAC regular season play. The duo also reached the semifinals of the NAC Individual Tournament.

Hendee and Gauger were the second doubles duo from WLC to collect All-NAC honors. The #2 doubles team compiled a 10-1 record in NAC action.

Strehlow was also selected to the NAC All-Sportsmanship Team, making her just one of two players in the conference be selected to all three teams.

Dominican University's Kornelia Nowaczyk was named NAC Freshman of the Year, while Edgewood College head coach Ben Oestreich was chosen by his peers as Coach of the Year.

Wisconsin Lutheran wrapped up its fall season with an 11-4 overall record, including 10-1 in the NAC for a share of the conference championship. The Warriors will resume their season in the spring where they will be the top seed in the 2012 NAC Team Tournament.
